Changement de nom, même ambition !

L'ECAM Rennes devient ECAM Louis de Broglie.

Un nouveau nom, un nouveau logo, mais une mission inchangée : former des ingénieurs passionnés, engagés et déterminés à bâtir le monde de demain.

ECAM Rennes offers a multidisciplinary education in Materials, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Networks and Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Economics, Management and Languages.

Throughout the curriculum, the teaching combines these technical fields, all of which are linked to each other for the success of industrial projects in many sectors (Aeronautics, Telecommunications, Automotive, IT, etc.). These acquired transversal skills allow the ECAM Rennes Generalist Engineer to manage projects, to manage specialists, to bring teams from different fields together to share their knowledge, to design products and services and to understand with ease disciplines outside of their preferred domains.

Personalized courses and development of your professional project

Beyond the generalist training, the engineering students have the opportunity to adapt their career path according to their aspirations throughout their studies via projects, mentorship programs, internships, etc.

The program is designed to promote a unique career path and distinction on the job market while benefiting from a multidisciplinary environment. The acquisition of the engineer’s scientific and technical skills and the emphasis on independent responsibility is progressive over the 3 years of training.

ECAM: acquiring the fundamentals of being a professional engineer

Beyond the acquisition of basic scientific and technical knowledge (industrial design, electronics, mathematics, physics, computer science, etc.), the general and human training encourages students to demonstrate analytical skills, initiative and creativity, to engage positively in relationships with others, to be open to the business world and international society, and to communicate in a foreign language (English).

Through independent projects that are highly-valued in the curriculum, students learn methods of self-development and project management. They are taught to explore ideas and implement them as projects in the second and third year of the engineering cycle, a practice that is guaranteed to serve them well later in their professional life.

The second year of the engineering cycle is at the center of the school’s training and allows students to acquire the essential elements to approach working life as a responsible professional capable of working effectively within groups of various sizes and structures.

Teaching in the four technical fields of the school ensures a diverse knowledge-base and allows students to develop their skills through the 4 projects of the year.

A springboard year, the initial year of the engineering cycle aims to progressively acclimatize students to the professional world:

  • 80% of the teaching is given by external professionals (industrialists, consultants, laboratory experts, etc.).
  • 76% of activities and projects are carried out in a professional context (internships and projects).

Be different, stay open to myriad career opportunities with 77 different study paths in our final year!
