Ecam Graduate School of engineering Louis de Broglie Rennes

Changement de nom, même ambition !

L'ECAM Rennes devient ECAM Louis de Broglie.

Un nouveau nom, un nouveau logo, mais une mission inchangée : former des ingénieurs passionnés, engagés et déterminés à bâtir le monde de demain.

ECAM Rennes is located on the Ker Lann Campus, a 170-hectare wooded park in the commune of Bruz, just outside Rennes. This exceptional natural setting is home to higher education institutions, professional training organizations and innovative companies. This proximity allows for exchanges and partnerships between research institutions, educational establishments and the local economy. Ker Lann is thus an exceptional technopole in Rennes thanks to its mix of organizations and companies.

Ker Lann, an Armorican-style campus

Only 15 minutes south of Rennes, the Ker Lann campus brings together 16 schools and some 50 companies in an exceptional green setting of 170 hectares. Numerous housing options in the vicinity make it possible to accommodate the 10,000 students who attend the campus each year.

ECAM Rennes was the first school to set up on the campus in 1991. The campus  offers a wide range of services for student life: restaurants, university residences, sports facilities, STAR bus, SNCF station, bicycle rental, etc.

ECAM Rennes students are very involved and initiate major events that punctuate campus life each year, such as the ECAM Spring Festival and the Ker Lann Run.

The Ker Lann campus has been awarded the ‘Campus Responsible’ label and is committed to a sustainable development approach that took concrete form with the implementation of its Green Plan in 2009. With its quiet and wooded environment, Ker Lann is an attractive campus that is conducive to academic success.

A student association, the Joker’s, brings together representatives of the various campus schools to organize joint cultural and sports events, and also offers many local services.

Rennes, a city for students

With more than 3,000 listed buildings, Brittany is nationally recognized as the foremost center of regional heritage, outside of the Ile-de-France. A region rich in cultural discoveries: galettes, pancakes, ciders, museums, numerous festivals, beaches, etc. Everywhere you go, Brittany’s landscapes await you with open arms.

Nearly 200,000 people live in Rennes. Each year, the city welcomes more than 67,000 students spread over three campuses and about 50 schools of higher education. The Breton capital was recently voted the most pleasant city to live in, in addition to being one of the largest student cities in France.

Thanks to the very accessible bus lines, the second metro line planned for 2022 and the STAR bicycles, you will be able to easily get around Rennes and its surroundings. Place Saint-Anne, Thabor park, Transmusicales festival, Fine Arts museum, Marché des Lices, Couvent des Jacobins, TNB, St-Georges swimming pool, cinema, restaurants, shopping malls, bars, nightclubs and so many others… you will always find something to do!

Rennes is ranked as the 4th student city in France according to the 2020 ranking of L’Etudiant. This ranking is due to the many advantages offered to students throughout the year: dynamic employment, low unemployment rate, constant increase in the number of students and their share in the total population. Rennes also offers the Sortir! card, a special portal for students on the city’s website, as well as 3 days of special events to welcome students.
